Games for Women
What women want - some possible answers and discussion
There
seem to be lots of different ideas on this, and it's something of a hot
button topic. Many people in the industry seem to think they know
- here's some silly answers I've heard:
1. Who cares?
2. There are women gamers, but they'll play whatever the men like to play.
3. Tetris, they like Tetris...oh, and Ms. Pac Man...
4. Women don't buy games.
5. Make the box pink or light purple.
Funny,
huh? I find the cavalier attitude that half the population isn't
a significant market laughable. All kidding aside, on this page,
I'll attempt to answer the question what women want and offer up some
links to further info on this topic.
